Policies

In order for you to have the BEST experience, I ask all my clients to please read and abide by these policies.

If you have any questions, or if you have circumstances that you feel deserve special consideration, please let me know. I look forward to working with you!

    • Appointments can be scheduled using the online booking system or by calling 801-486-8606. Sessions are by appointment only (no walk-ins).

    • A valid credit card is required to reserve your appointment time. If you prefer not to leave a card on file, you may prepay for your appointment.

    • Payment is due at the time of service and can be made via cash, check, credit/debit card, HSA, or FSA.

    • Session times: If clients arrive late, they will receive whatever time remains of their appointment, and they are still responsible for paying the full session fee.

  • 24 hours’ notice required

I require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling. To cancel or reschedule an appointment, you may do any of the following:

    • Use the “Change Appointment” link in your confirmation email.

    • Call or text me at 801-486-8606.

    • Email me at rachel@movement-sense.com.

    Late fees

Clients agree to pay the following fees, charged to their credit card on file, if they cancel or reschedule within these timeframes:

    • Less than 24 hours before the appointment: 50% of session fee

    • Less than 2 hours before the appointment: 100% of session fee

    • No-show: 100% of session fee

    Appointment reminders

My booking system sends automatic reminders via email and SMS/text at these intervals before your appointment:

    • 48 hours prior (so that you have time to reschedule without incurring late-cancellation fees)

    • 24 hours prior

    • 1 hour prior

Although I send these reminders as a courtesy, it is ultimately up to you to remember your appointment.

  • Contagious symptoms

Please reschedule if you are ill. Call me right away (801-486-8606), and I will be happy to reschedule your session.

Your health and wellbeing are my #1 priority. I want every client to feel safe and have the best experience possible during their treatment and movement work.

Please reschedule if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, even if mild:

    • Fever, sore throat, sneezing, coughing.

    • Scratchy throat, nose, or eyes.

    • A cold, the flu, or possible COVID. If you have knowingly been exposed or around someone with COVID, call me (801-486-8606) and we will evaluate your specific situation.

If you become ill right before your session

    • If your symptoms show up the day before your appointment, call me right away at 801-486-8606 to let me know.

    • If your symptoms show up the day of your appointment, call me by 8:00 a.m. and leave a voicemail.

If you take these efforts to proactively alert me that you are feeling ill, I will gladly waive the late-cancellation fee.

However, if you arrive to your appointment with contagious symptoms, your session will be canceled and you will be charged the late-cancellation fee.

    Medical emergencies

If an unexpected medical emergency arises and you are unable to alert me that you will miss your appointment, please call me (801-486-8606) as soon as possible so that I know you are OK. I will gladly waive the late-cancellation fee in the event of unexpected medical emergencies.

  • Intake forms

Intake forms are linked in your initial confirmation email and must be completed at least 24 hours before your first visit. Otherwise, we’ll need to take time out of your session for you to fill them out.

    Presentation for your session

    Please arrive to your appointment:

    • Wear comfortable clothes, workout clothing that are not overly restrictive.

    Communicating your needs

To receive the best session possible, please communicate your needs, preferences, requests, or feedback to me at any time before, during, or after your appointment.

Tell me right away if you feel unwell, uncomfortable, or distracted so that adjustments can be made.
